Logan decided to take a day out on one of Glynn County's Golden Isles.....Saint Simons Island. There were many choices but Logan rounded up his driver/photographer and headed first to the Saint Simons Island Pier. Logan can see Jekyll Island across the sound. The benches look like a nice place to rest but Logan is just getting started.

There are a few people fishing and crabbing off the pier.....but no fishing for Logan today because there are other items on the agenda.

Logan contemplates while enjoying the coastal waterways......

Putt Putt Golf is an option......

Logan heads for the Saint Simons Island Lighthouse.....

Logan takes in the Saint Simons Island Lighthouse view......

Looks like a long walk up....so Logan decides on something more on ground level......the playground at the Pier.....

Logan meets a new friend on the playground.

After playing on the playground, Logan cools off with a walk in the water......

Logan has done a lot today....but this is just one small tip of Saint Simons Island. Logan will be back to show us more of Brunswick and the Golden Isles of Georgia.

Julie - I am curious about crabbing off the pier. I had a holiday in 8th grade where I spent part of the summer at a house on Chesapeake Bay. I remember tying chicken necks to fishing line and dropping them off the dock. We also used a trout line type thing that had chicken necks on it, was sunk to the bottom of bay, and then you collected the crab as the line came up out of the water and over a post. You literally scooped them up with a metal net as line cam out of the water. It was really a great summer that I still remember as if it was yesterday. Thanks for the trip down nostalgia lane and do tell me how you crab off the pier in your neck of the woods.
Julie,
I absolutely love the tours that Logan takes us on. He has such a wonderful eye for things that people like.
Don,
Logan is my friend and we are on about the same maturity level when we don't get our way or we are tired or hungry.....
Ryan,
I am probably not the greatest crabber in the world....but my recall as a child is similar to yours....there is this little crab basket thing you put in the water with something as bait - chicken parts sounds right and they get in and can't get out and you just go by and pull up the crabs in the basket.....I don't like to think what happens next.......
As always, wonderful pictures Julie. Was that a putt-putt course, because I love putt-putt.
JL,
Yes it was and we have not only many putt putt golf courses but 225 holes of golf in Glynn County,......what a way for a golfer to spend a vacation.....
Julie, thank Logan for the tour for me! Glynn County is a place I look forward to learning more about.
Mark,
Thanks. I will let Logan know - he is truly an excellent tour guide and Glynn County has some of everything to offer.
You did so good taking this photos. I only live an hour from the Oregon Coast and my youngest son... And dog, have yet to go experience it. Another thing I'd love to do is go crabbing. I love crab.
Jason and Amber,
That is why we live here....only a few minutes and you are on an uncrowded beach...I tried to move away but came back to raise my own son when he was very small. (I do not love to crab but I do love to jetski, ride bikes on the bike path around the islands, walk on the beach, Rollerblade year round, visit the barrier islands off the Georgia coast and so much more).
Hi Julie, What a great tour of your area! Thanks, Logan!
Mary,
Logan says hello and wants to thank you for visiting. Logan was born in Brunswick and the Golden Isles and enjoys showing off his hometown.
Julie, how is that putt putt place? My wife always talks about visiting it!
Jeremy,
Can you imagine that I would actually do something that requires being patient even for a few minutes? I Rollerblade, run and take body pump classes - I can't play any type of golf.....it requires skill and patience.....
Body pump classes? I don't think I wanna know...I thought you may play extreme golf or something where you almost take the head off your opponent with the club & ball!
I'm tired just looking ant the photos i can't imagine chasing after him all day.
Kelly,
I promise you it wasn't me chasing him with that camera.,.....he has his own driver/photographer.....Mom Tiffany......
Jeremy,
Look up Body Pump online - it is a copyrighted barbell class that works your entire body - you take barbells with weights on them on your shoulders while you do squats and lunges and other exercises like cling and press, etc. I enjoy it.......
Julie, Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos...Logan looks like he had a great time and a fun day.
Gary,
Logan's life is filled with fun every day....he is a bundle of energy and this trips really help him stay occupied and let Mom Tiffany get some good photos of him - he is a ham for a camera.....
Julie, Logan looks like a sweet little bundle of energy! Thanks for sharing the photos. You live and sell in a gorgeous location.
Lara,
Thanks....I enjoy sharing the photos and have some more I have got to get posted. It is a wonderful place to live.
Julie,
How cute is Logan? What a great tour & idea! Thanks for sharing.
