In 1886, Jekyll Island (one of the Golden Isles of Georgia) was purchased by a group of millionaires and converted into one of the world's most exclusive clubs. This club boasted names like Astor, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Pulitzer, Gould and Rockefeller.
In 1947, the state of Georgia purchased Jekyll Island and has turned it into a vacation destination as well as a historical attractions for history buffs. Jekyll island boasts:

Yes that is the waterpark I told you about on the phone......and the sailboat I am on with my mother in law and Jerry with Captain Shaun in the background (my husband was in the cabin below setting up everything before we took his Mom out) is the one I had my first date with my husband on and the one he proposed on........
